Biographical Information[edit]
Rollin Cook pitched five games for the 1915 St. Louis Browns, one of a whopping 23 pitchers used by Branch Rickey that year. Other pitchers on the team included a young George Sisler, Allen Sothoron and Carl Weilman; 15 of the 23 men were 25 or younger. Cook was one of the first major leaguers out of THE Ohio State University, where his time overlapped largely with that of Ollie Welf. Rollin served in the Army during both World Wars I and II, dying in his native Toledo at 84 in 1975.
