Rodolfo Vallejano was a Mexican League pitcher for eight years.

Vallejano debuted in 1973. He was the class of the Mexican Center League, his only season in that minor circuit. He was 11-6 with a 1.71 ERA, leading in ERA, tying Humberto Valenzuela for the most whiffs (139) and tying Alfonso Bourguette for the most wins in a pitching Triple Crown. He also led with 15 complete games, tied for the most shutouts (3), saved a game, led in innings (160), led in hits allowed (134) and led in runs allowed (52), pulling off the rare feat of most runs allowed and best ERA. He was named one of the league's two All-Star pitchers. He also had a brief stint with the Alijadores de Tampico but was 0-2 with a 6.50 ERA.

Back in the Mexican League proper in 1974, he had a 6-4, 2.53 record for Tampico. In 1975, he was 9-5 with two saves and a 2.72 ERA. He posted a 13-10, 3.06 record for Tampico in 1976, his busiest season with 203 innings. In '77, the 25-year-old righty was 0-4 with a 4.91 ERA for the Alijadores. He fell to 3-10, 5.25 for the club in 1978, walking 62 in 108 innings, and ended his 6-year stint with them. Rodolfo spent 1979 with the Leones de Yucatan and was 10-13 with a 3.26 ERA. In his final season, 1980, he was 5-6 with a 4.11 ERA for the Rieleros de Aguascalientes.

Overall, he was 46-54 with 7 saves and a 3.48 ERA in 179 Mexican League games (112 starts). He walked 292 and fanned 302 in 840 1/3 innings while allowing 913 hits (52 HR).
