Biographical Information[edit]

Robert George pitched one game for the South African national team in the 1998 Baseball World Cup. Against champion Cuba, he took over for Geordie Blaine with one out in the 4th. He allowed two hits (a triple and a homer), three walks and six runs (five earned) in 2/3 of an inning, striking out one. Liall Mauritz then took over. George did not have the event's highest ERA, which went to teammate Barry Armitage.
