Biographical Information[edit]
Geordie Blaine pitched twice for the South African national team in the 1998 Baseball World Cup. He was the sacrificial lamb against the powerful champion Cuba and went 3 1/3 innings, allowing five hits (all for extra bases) and seven runs (all earned) in a loss to Omar Luis. His other outing was much better; replacing Glen Morris, he closed out a 5-0 loss to China by allowing only one hit and one walk in 3 1/3 shutout innings, striking out two.
