Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Rob Kaminsky was selected by the St. Louis Cardinals and scout Sean Moran in the Compensation Round A of the 2013 amateur draft. He soon signed for a bonus of nearly $1.8 million and made his pro debut with the GCL Cardinals on July 4th. He pitched 8 games, including 5 starts, going 0-3, 3.68. In 2014, he was with the Peoria Chiefs in the Midwest League where he had a good season, finishing at 8-2, 1.88 in 18 starts. 2015 saw him move up to the Palm Beach Cardinals in the Florida State League. After 17 starts, he was 6-5 with a 2.09 ERA when on July 30th he was traded to the Cleveland Indians in return for OF/1B Brandon Moss. He pitched in the Indians system from 2015 to 2019.

Kaminsky became a free agent after the 2019 season and returned to his original organization, signing with the Cardinals. It was with them that he made his major league debut on August 16, 2020.
