The youngest baseball player in the 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games, Richard White pitched for the Virgin Islands. In the 11th inning of a game against Guatemala, he teamed with Kenny Jackson (27 years his senior) in blowing a 6-5 lead that was the Islands' best hopes for a victory.
In the 2011 amateur draft, the Seattle Mariners took him in the 23rd round. He made his pro debut with the AZL Mariners on August 6th. In 5 games that year, he posted a 4.09 ERA while striking out 13.
