Ricardo Jimenez was the DH for the Philippines in the 2001 Baseball World Cup, their first Baseball World Cup appearance. He went 3 for 15 with a walk and had 3 of the team's 5 RBI in the tournament. He was 1 for 8 with a walk and a steal in the 2002 Asian Games, getting his lone hit against South Korea. He was a player-coach for the Philippines in the 2003 Asian Championship and strictly a coach in the 2006 Asian Games, 2006 Intercontinental Cup and 2007 Asian Championship.
