Biographical Information[edit]

Remo Cardinale was the first Canadian amateur ever signed by the Toronto Blue Jays. He had a rough debut with the 1977 Utica Blue Sox, going 0-1 with a 6.38 ERA in 9 games. He walked 27 and allowed 29 hits in 24 innings. In 1978, he was smacked around for 50 hits and 20 walks in 28 innings, posting a 7.39 ERA for the Medicine Hat Blue Jays; he had no decisions.

He was pitching coach for Team Canada in the 1998 Baseball World Cup and 2003 Baseball World Cup. He coached for the Croatian national team in the 2007 European Championship.
