Biographical Information

Remigio Díaz played in the minor leagues and CPBL.

Díaz began his professional career with the Monterrey Sultanes in 1989, and he hit .273/.334/.344 with 8 triples (though only 7 other extra-base hits). He batted .217/.291/.229 for the Stockton Ports affiliated with the Milwaukee Brewers in 1990, playing short as a double play partner with Pat Listach. He had a .150/.173/.150 batting line for the Ports in 1991, then he returned to Monterrey and played there until 1999. He produced at a .262/.328/.313 rate for Monterrey in '91, .241/.308/.292 in '92 and .286/.350/.346 in '93.

He hit .250/.314/.323 in 1999, then the Uni-President Lions of Taiwan signed him. Diaz only hit .238/.304/.238 in 8 games in 1999 CPBL, then he returned to Monterrey and hit .283/.317/.388 with 25 steals in 2000. He collected 23 steaks with a .306/.348/.347 batting line in 2001, then he slumped to .266/.316/.327 in 2002. Diaz struggled in 2003 as his batting line was .221/.279/.276, then he moved to the San Luis Potosi Tuneros in 2004. He went to the Olmecas de Tabasco and hit .261/.321/.333 there in 2005, and his batting line was .269/.317/.346 in 2006. Diaz then hit .264/.312/.303 for the Piratas de Campeche in 2007, and he also played 12 games for the Saraperos de Saltillo. The 2007 season was his last season as a professional player.

He later coached for the Sultanes.
