Ray Paiement pitched for Team Canada several times.

Paiement played baseball and football in college. He played for Canada's Barrhead Blue Jays from 1976-1978. He was with Team Canada for the 1977 Intercontinental Cup. In the 1978 Amateur World Series, he was 1-2 with a 1.93 ERA (9 R, 3 ER), fanning 12 in 14 innings. He tied Bob Bridges for 2nd on the team in losses, one behind Keith Van De Keere. Bridges was their only other pitcher to register a win in their ten games. He also played some in right field, which he split with Maury Ornest, Doug Simon and Mike Labossiere; he went 2 for 6 with a double and a run. He also pitched for Canada in the 1979 Pan American Games.
