Biographical Information

Raoell Kortstam played briefly in the minors.

He was 3 for 11 with a triple, 2 runs and 4 RBI for the Netherlands in the 2009 European Junior Championship. He participated in the MLB European Academy in 2010. That summer, he was 7 for 49 with a double, 6 walks, 9 runs and 4 RBI in 20 games for the GCL Red Sox, striking out in 27 of 49 at-bats and going 1-for-4 in steal attempts. He had 21 putouts, 2 assists and no errors in the outfield. He played two games for the 2011 Amsterdam Pirates but did not bat. He struck out in his lone at-bat in the 2011 European Cup. In 2012, he was 0 for 3 for Amsterdam and 0 for 2 in the 2012 European Cup. He was 3 for 4 with 3 RBI for the 2013 Amsterdam Pirates.
