Ramiro Toruño López

Ramiro Toruño has been a long-time presence on the international baseball scene, appearing in at least a dozen tournaments.
Toruño coached for the Nicaraguan national team in the 1993 Intercontinental Cup, managed them to a Gold in the 1994 Central American Games and again held the reins in the 1994 Baseball World Cup and coached for them in the 1995 Intercontinental Cup (when they won the Bronze). He then moved to the Spanish national team, managing them in the 1997 Intercontinental Cup and 1998 Baseball World Cup and coaching for them in the 2001 European Championship. He was back with Nicaragua as a coach in the 2001 Baseball World Cup, then managed Spain to the Bronze Medal in the 2003 European Championship. He coached for Nicaragua in the 2003 Baseball World Cup, 2005 Baseball World Cup and 2006 Central American and Caribbean Games, then managed them in the 2010 Pan American Games Qualifying Tournament and coached in the 2010 Intercontinental Cup and 2013 Central American Games (Gold Medal). He has been a manager or coach in both Spanish and Nicaraguan leagues as well.
