Biographical Information[edit]
Ramón Ríos has been a minor league infielder.
Ríos played for the Sultanes de Monterrey (2 for 8, 2B) and the Petroleros de Minatitlan (.331/.367/.421 in 48 G) as a rookie in 2008. In 2009, he hit .292/.325/.403 and fielded .974 at 2B for Monterrey. As a backup the next year, he fell to .263/.306/.292 in 68 games. In 2011, he batted .300/.329/.365 with only 9 walks in 82 games; he fielded .979 at second base. In the 2011 Pan American Games, going 2 for 5 as the backup to Albino Contreras in LF. The Sonora native hit only .241/.293/.316 and fielded .970 at 2B for the 2012 Sultanes. In '13, he hit .282/.314/.365 with 14 steals in 20 tries, while fielding .974.
