Biographical Information[edit]
Rafael del Río was 16 years old when he was on the Ecuadorian national team that won the Bronze in the 2005 South American Championship. In the 2006 COPABE qualifiers for the 2008 Olympics, he went 1 for 6 for Ecuador, fielding .571 (second on the team with three errors) while backing up Luis Atocha in RF and Óscar Villamar at C.
