Biographical Information[edit]
Rafael Pena hit over .400 as a college senior in 2015 and made All-Sooner Athletic Conference as a utility player. He then became a coach. Pena was scheduled to be hitting coach for the Fayetteville Woodpeckers in 2020 before the season was cancelled due to COVID-19.

Pena also has some coaching experience in the Dominican League. He was the hitting coach for the Leones del Escogido to start the 2022/2023 season, but was fired on November 14th along with manager Pedro Lopez.
In 2024, he was appointed assistant hitting coach of the Philadelphia Phillies, alongside Dustin Lind.
