Biographical Information

Rafael Monsion joined the Toronto Blue Jays organization in 2017 and pitched in their minor league system from 2017-2021. He started in the Dominican Summer League and reached Low-A with the Dunedin Blue Jays in 2021. Monsion appeared in 49 games and split his time between starting (24) and relieving (25). He finished his playing career in 2022 when he played for two independent league teams, the Missoula PaddleHeads and Long Island Ducks, where he worked almost exclusively in relief.

Monsion returned to the Blue Jays in 2023 as an assistant pitching coach for the DSL Blue Jays. In 2024 he was the bullpen coach for the same team.
