Biographical Information[edit]
Outfielder Preston Beck was drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 5th round of the 2012 amateur draft and began his professional career that year. The scout was Jay Eddings.
He was a Mid-Season All-Star and MiLB.com Organization All-Star in 2014 after hitting .255/.376/.411 with 11 home runs and 77 RBI in 121 games for the Myrtle Beach Pelicans. In 2016, he was again a Mid-Season All-Star, hitting .277/.342/.445 with 8 home runs and 42 RBI in 101 games between the Frisco RoughRiders and Triple A Round Rock Express. That was his first taste of Triple A.
