Biographical Information

Po-Huai Yin played in the CPBL.

Yin was selected by the Uni-President Lions in the fifth round of the 2022 CPBL Draft, and he was named their closer in the minor league in 2023. He notched 12 saves with a 2.73 ERA in 34 appearances there, and he ranked 2nd in saves (1 behind Kuo-Hua Lo). He made his CPBL debut on March 31, 2024. He pitched a shutout inning against the Fubon Guardians, and he collected his first hold on April 5 with a shutout inning.

Yin's repertoire includes a fastball (peak 95 mph), slider and curveball. He earned his nickname because his pitching position is similar to NPB All-Star Kaima Taira.
