Biographical Information[edit]

Petra Kolkusová was on the Czech women's national team for the 2022 European Women's Championship; listed with a 1971 birthyear, that would have made her the team's oldest player by 16 years ahead of Kateřina Maříková and Kateřina Petroušková. She started at first base for the team. In her first time up, she drew a walk from Britain's Claury Scatliffe, later coming around to score. Her first hit came the next day off France's Cassandra Vigneau. She scored four runs in the win over the Netherlands that sent the Czechs to the title game for the first time. She finished the event 3-for-8 with 3 walks, 4 times hit by pitch, 2 steals in 3 tries, 7 runs and 3 RBI while fielding .960. She tied Kristýna El Ghannam for 4th in the event in runs, tied for 10th in walks, was second in times plunked (one shy of Laura Hirai) and tied Cherise Stravers for 4th in OBP. She led in putouts, four ahead of Chiara Enrione-Thorrand. [1]
