Biographical Information[edit]
Third baseman Peter Konyar played in the minor leagues from 1948 to 1957. He had three seasons of particular note: 1951, 1953 and 1954. In 1951, he hit .288/.384/.508 with 27 home runs, 103 RBI, 20 stolen bases and 111 runs scored for the Pine Bluff Judges to lead the Cotton States League in home runs. In 1953, he hit .239/.310/.391 with 18 home runs and 75 RBI in 139 games between two clubs and in 1954, he hit .280/.347/.445 with 16 home runs and 91 RBI in 126 games between two teams. 1955 was also a decent season, as he hit .291/.374/.496 with 14 home runs and 80 RBI in 99 games for the Mexico City Reds of the Mexican League.
He hit at least 115 home runs with at least 563 RBI over 10 professional seasons.
He served in the U.S. Air Force from January 1946 to July 1947. His year of birth has also been listed as 1929.[1]
