Biographical Information[edit]
Peter Gahan was a player for the Queensland Rams from 1978-1982 and 1984-1987; he played for New South Wales in 1983. He was with the Australian national team from 1979-1983, including the 1981 World Games (winning Bronze) and 1982 Amateur World Series. Peter later became the head coach at Queensland and guided them to at least one Claxton Shield title. He coached for Australia in the 2009 Baseball World Cup.
Gahan has scouted in Australia and Europe for the Cleveland Indians, signing Ryan Battaglia, Martin Červenka and Mitch Nilsson. One of his relatives, Matty Gahan, played in the minor leagues.
