Biographical Information[edit]
Pelayo Chacón Jr. is the son of Pelayo Chacón and brother of Elio Chacón. He was on the Venezuelan national team in the 1951 Amateur World Series and 1952 Amateur World Series. He played for Venezuela in the 1956 Caribbean Series, going 5 for 12 with a run and a RBI. He also hit .353 in limited action that year for the Fresnillo Mineros; it was his sole appearance in Organized Baseball though he spent 8 years in the Venezuelan League (.255 AVG, .303 SLG).
