Biographical Information[edit]
Paul Stevens was head baseball coach at Northwestern University from 1988-2015. Prior to that, he was an assistant coach for the Wildcats for three seasons. He ended in 2015 with a school-record 674 wins and was named Big Ten Conference Coach of the Year three times. He also ended up in the top 20 all-time for losses. He later was assistant at the University of Chicago.
Stevens was on the Silver Medal-winning Team USA in the 1975 Pan American Games. He was selected by the Kansas City Royals in the 1976 amateur draft and spent five seasons in the minor leagues as an infielder. After his playing career ended, he was a scout for the New York Mets.
