Biographical Information[edit]

Third baseman Paul Russo was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in 1990; he was signed by Jeff Schugel. He had played for Team USA in the 1989 Intercontinental Cup.

He retired in 1999 after playing 10 minor league seasons in the Twins, San Diego Padres, New York Yankees, and Houston Astros systems. He topped out at AAA and hit .269/.350/.469.

His son, Paul Russo, Jr., has played in the minor leagues.
