Biographical Information[edit]

Paul Rozzelle began his college playing career at Catawba Valley Community College and completed his undergraduate degree at Appalachian State University in 2013. He later earned a master's degree in sports administration from Coker College.

Rozzelle began his post playing career as the strength and conditioning coordinator for the Bandys High School athletic program and returned to CVCC as an assistant baseball coach in 2014. During the summer of 2014, Rozzelle served as head coach of the Morganton Militia, which competes in the All-American Collegiate Baseball League. When Frank Pait retired from coaching in early 2015, Rozzelle took over as head coach and led the team to the 2015 NJCAA Division II Baseball World Series. Rozzelle continued to have success throughout his seven years leading the Red Hawks and set a school record of 228 career wins in 2021. While at CVCU, Rozzelle was awarded the NJCAA Southeast District Coach of the Year Award, as well as the Diamond/American Baseball Coaches Association Southeast Coach of the Year.

The Tampa Bay Rays hired Rozzelle as a hitting coach for the Bowling Green Hot Rods in 2022-2023 and Montgomery Biscuits in 2024.
