Biographical Information[edit]

Patricia Segovia has played for the Venezuelan women's national team.

Segovia debuted in the 2014 Women's Baseball World Cup. She hit .214/.294/.214 with two RBI in six games as Venezuela's main third basewoman. She fielded .800. [1] In the 2015 Pan American Games, she moved to the mound, pitching once (3 2/3 IP, 6 H, 2 BB, 2 K, 5 R, 3 ER). [2] In the 2016 Women's Baseball World Cup, she backed up at 3B and pitched once. She was 1 for 3 with a RBI and two runs, with her hit coming off Aisha Qazi. In her lone mound appearance, she was Venezuela's top hurler in their 8-1 loss to Canada (2 1/3 IP, 1 H, 3 BB, 2 R, 0 ER). Venezuela won Bronze. [3]

In the 2018 Women's Baseball World Cup, she played one game as a backup at 1B to Ingrid Escobar and did not bat. She pitched twice, going 1-0 with a 1.17 ERA and beating the Dominican women's national team and Juanita Mercedes. Only Linibeth Aguilarte had a better ERA for Venezuela. Had she qualified, she would have tied Marti Sementelli for 9th in the Cup in ERA. [4]
