Biographical Information

Ingrid Escobar played first base and hit third for Venezuela for most of the 2012 Women's Baseball World Cup. In the finale, she was the DH and hit 5th while Kelyn Mendoza was at 1B; she hit a three-run triple off Tzu-Hui Pan of Taiwan that gave Venezuela the win in the 5th/6th place game. Overall, she went 6 for 18 with a double, triple, four walks, run and 7 RBI in the event, tying Leonela Reyes for second on the team in RBI. She handled 39 chances without an error.
