Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Pat Watkins was named 1993 Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Year and first team All-American. He was then selected by the Cincinnati Reds in the supplemental 1st Round (the 32nd overall pick), of the 1993 amateur draft.

He made his professional debut in 1993 with the Billings Mustangs of the Pioneer League, batting .268 with 6 home runs and 15 stolen bases. He was named Reds' Minor League Player of the Year and was a Carolina League All-Star in 1994 with the Winston-Salem Spirits. He batted .290 with 27 home runs and 31 stolen bases.
