Biographical Information[edit]
Oswaldo Pacheco pitched in the Mexican League and for the Mexican national team.
Pacheco debuted in 2012, appearing for the Sultanes de Monterrey (4 R in 6 IP) and Rieleros de Aguascalientes (2-2, 3.79 in 16 G). In '13, he was 2-2 with two saves and a 2.91 ERA in 51 games for Agauscalientes. He was one game pitched behind Heriberto Ruelas Jr. for the team lead. He fell to 6-7, 5.95 with a save for the 2014 Rieleros.
In the 2014 Central American and Caribbean Games, he pitched 5 2/3 shutout innings for Mexico (5 H, 1 BB, 3 K) as the team's top hurler. He was 5th in the event in ERA (four pitchers had a 0.00 ERA in more innings), between Jhonny Caraballo and teammate Luis Iván Rodríguez). [1] He appeared in the Mexican Pacific League that winter, going 0-1 with a 4.50 ERA between the Mayos de Navojoa and the Cañeros de Los Mochis. He split 2015 between the Rieleros (0-1, 8.36 in 6 G) and the Broncos de Reynosa (0-2, 8.35 in 18 G), continuing to slide. He had a 5.97 ERA and no decisions in 23 games for the 2016 Delfines de Ciudad del Carmen to bring his LMB record to 10-14, 5.22 in 153 games. He did not appear in the Liga from 2017-2021 so his career presumably ended at age 24.
