Omaha Dodgers

From BR Bullpen

After a one-year absence from the American Association, Omaha returned in 1961 as a Los Angeles Dodgers farm team. They went 62-87 in their first season, finishing last in the 8-team league. The talent level and production improved in 1962 when they went 79-68 and captured the pennant. Ken McMullen hit 21 homers for Danny Ozark's club while Jack Smith went 17-7 with a 2.06 ERA and Nick Wilhite (18-14, 3.33) led the league in wins, losses, complete games and innings. The AA was abolished in 1963 and the Omaha Dodgers vanished with it.
