Biographical Information

Third baseman Oleg Semenov was 1 for 6 for the Russian national team in the 2005 European Championship, with one RBI. As the third-stringer behind Dmitry Lukin and Ruslan Nabiev, he did not handle a chance in 9 1/3 IP. He also was 1 for 6 in the 2007 European Championship. In the 2008 European Championship Qualifiers, he hit .273/.385/.545 and tied for the tourney lead with 6 RBI but Russia failed to qualify for the 2010 European Championship.
