O’neill Yobech

O'neill Yobech led the Bronze Medal-winning Palauan national team in innings pitched in the 2022 Pacific Mini-Games. He allowed two runs in five (fanning six) to beat the host and champion Northern Mariana Islands and Lorenzo Sebaklim. He then began with five shutout innings against Guam but surrendered six (three earned) in the last three to take the loss to Paul Pangelinan. Interestingly, he and teammate Jeter Inawo had first names that evoked the last names of 1990s Yankees stars Paul O'Neill and Derek Jeter.
