Biographical Information[edit]
Nobuyasu Matsu pitched in Nippon Pro Baseball and for the Japanese national team.
Matsu represented Japan in the 1997 Asian Championship. The Fukuoka Daiei Hawks drafted him in the second round of the 1998 NPB draft. Matsu spent the first 5 years of his career in the NPB Farm Leagues, and only had 19 appearances combined with the big club. He played a career-high 40 games in 2004 with a 4.82 ERA. He didn't appear in NPB in 2005, then announced his retirement after the 2005 season.
Overall, Matsu was 1-5 with a 4.99 ERA and pitched 70 1/3 innings in 4 seasons in NPB.
