Biographical Information[edit]
The brother of Akira Noguchi, Jiro Noguchi and Wataru Noguchi, infielder Noboru Noguchi broke in with Hanshin in 1941 and hit just .144/.246/.179. At age 20, he improved to .206/.301/.246 though he was caught in half of his 16 steal attempts and made 58 errors. In 1943, Noguchi hit .169/.274/.181 for a career line of .181/.279/.216. In 1943, he was drafted into the Imperial Army and died two years later while in transit to the Philippines.
