Biographical Information

Nien-En Kong has played in the CPBL. He is the nephew of Tzu-Wei Lin.

Kong was drafted by the Fubon Guardians in the fourth round of the 2021 CPBL Draft. He spent his first two seasons primarily in the minor league as he only played 17 games combined in the top league, and he hit .301/.390/.358 in the minors in 2022. Kong had more chances in 2023, and he was selected into the 2023 CPBL All-Star Game. He was 1-for-1 with a single against Yen-Ching Lu in Game 1, then went 0-for-1 in Game 2. Kong ended up hitting .213/.271/.328 in the 2023 season. He was then selected into the roster of the 2023 Asia Professional Baseball Championship, but he rejected the offer.
