Biographical Information[edit]

Infielder Nick Robinson played two seasons in the minors. His uncle is scout Jim Robinson. He hit .427 as a senior, finishing second in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin in average; he also tied for second with 56 runs and was third with 76 hits. He was selected by the Boston Red Sox in the 39th round of the 2010 amateur draft (the scout was Blair Henry) and made his pro debut that summer with the Lowell Spinners, hitting .211/.357/.246 in 20 games. He fielded .975 as their #3 second baseman. He split the next summer as a utility infielder between the GCL Red Sox (.211/.279/.236 in 25 G) and the Spinners (5 for 19, 2B, 3 BB, 4 R, 3 RBI). In 2013, he became an assistant coach at Dominican University.
