Biographical Information

Pitcher Nick McBride has played in the Texas Rangers minor league system since 2010 (through 2013). He was drafted by the club in the 5th round of the 2010 amateur draft, a couple picks after pitcher Louis Coleman and a couple picks ahead of utility player Ryan Wheeler.

After a couple ho-hum seasons to begin his career, he had a solid year in 2012, going 5-4 with a 3.00 ERA in 33 games (7 starts) for the Hickory Crawdads and Myrtle Beach Pelicans. In 2013, he was 2-12 with a 5.26 ERA in 33 games (18 starts) for the Pelicans, Frisco RoughRiders and Triple-A Round Rock Express.
