Biographical Information[edit]

Catcher Nick Hundley was selected in the fifth round of the 2002 Amateur Draft by the Florida Marlins, but didn't sign. He was taken in the second round (76th overall) by the San Diego Padres in the 2005 Amateur Draft. He was signed by scout Dave Lottsfeldt and made his pro debut that summer.

He made his Major League debut with the Padres on Independence Day, 2008 going 1 for 3 with a walk and a run in a 5-1 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Nick Hundley is not related to former major league catchers Randy or Todd Hundley; his father, Tim Hundley, is a defensive backs coach for the UCLA football team.
