Biographical Information[edit]
Neydemar Guzmán was the starting catcher for Venezuela in the 2012 Women's Baseball World Cup. Her first at-bat, she singled off Japanese star Ayami Sato. She hit .381/.458/.429 on the event with six runs in eight games, fielding .968 and throwing out 5 of 14 base-stealers. She tied Claudia Kranendonk for the most runners caught stealing, but Kranendock allowed 23 more swipes. [1]
In the 2014 Women's Baseball World Cup, the 28-year-old was 1 for 11 with a walk, two steals, two times hit by pitch and one run. Her lone hit came off Yu-Chen Hsu. She fielded .800 and allowed 10 steals in 11 tries. [2]
