Team Bio[edit]
The Newport Gulls have been a member of the New England Collegiate Baseball League since 2001, when they moved to Newport from nearby Cranston, RI. They are the most successful team in the NECBL, winning six league championships. They won the NECBL championship their first two seasons in Newport. They've also been beaten finalists four times. The 2012 team was named Summer Collegiate Team of the Year by Perfect Game. In 2017 the Gulls finished 20-22, their first ever losing season.
