Biographical Information[edit]
Neal Musser was drafted by the New York Mets in the 2nd round of the 1999 amateur draft. He was signed by scout Joe Morlan and made his pro debut that summer.
Musser pitched 5 1/3 scoreless innings in the 2007 Baseball World Cup, allowing just two hits. He helped Team USA win its first Baseball World Cup in over 30 years. He spent most of 2008 with the AAA Omaha Royals, going 3-5 with 6 saves in 36 games, with 64 strikeouts in 56 innings. He made one appearance for Kansas City on May 29, pitching one scoreless inning in relief.
