Biographical Information[edit]

Myong-lok Oh pitched in the Korea Baseball Organization.

Oh was 1-2 with a 3.98 ERA for the South Korean national team in the 1984 Amateur World Series, striking out 19 and walking 10 in 20 1/3 IP; only Hak-kil Yoon had a higher ERA for South Korea. He remained with South Korea in the 1984 Olympics, 1985 Asian Championship (tied for second) and 1985 Intercontinental Cup (Silver Medal). In 1986, he made his pro debut with the Lotte Giants, going 4-4 with a 3.91 ERA. The next year, he improved to 5-3, 2.93. He was 6-7 with a save and a 3.70 ERA in 1988. Moving to the Samsung Lions, he was 2-3 with two saves and a 4.05 ERA in 1989. He fell to 0-4, 6.30 with a save in 1990. Overall, he was 17-21 with four saves and a 3.79 ERA in 81 KBO games.
