In 1957 the Moultrie, GA team in the Georgia-Florida League went from being part of the Cincinnati Reds farm system to part of the Philadelphia Phillies chain; they were renamed the Moultrie Phillies to reflect this change. The Moultrie Phillies were short-lived - on June 1 of the year, they moved to Brunswick, GA and became the Brunswick Phillies. Overall they went 62-77-1 on the year under manager Benny Zientara.
