Mohawk Giants
The Mohawk Giants of Schenectady, NY were a Negro League team that reached prominence in the mid-teens. In 1913 they went 2-3 against other top black teams. Managed by Chappie Johnson, the team included Home Run Johnson at shortstop and Frank Wickware and Walter Ball on the hill. With only Wickware returning from that trio the next season, they were 0-7 against other prominent clubs.
