A Modasho is when a player gets three or more hits in a game; the term is used in Japanese baseball. Through 2015, the season record in Nippon Pro Baseball is 27, shared by Tsuyoshi Nishioka (2010) and Shogo Akiyama (2015). Ichiro Suzuki (26, 1996), Alex Ramirez (24, 2007), Matt Murton (24, 2010), Tomonori Maeda (23, 1998) and Michihiro Ogasawara (23, 2001) are next.
