Biographical Information[edit]

Mitch Nay was a 2012 first-round pick and is the grandson of Lou Klimchock.

Nay hit .495 with 14 homers, 54 RBI and a 1.071 slugging percentage as a high school senior. He had a commitment to Arizona State University when the Toronto Blue Jays picked him 58th in the 2012 amateur draft. The choice was compensation for the loss of Jon Rauch to free agency. Nay was the 4th of five Toronto first-rounders, after D.J. Davis, Marcus Stroman and Matt Smoral and before Tyler Gonzales. He made his pro debut for the Bluefield Blue Jays on June 20th, 2013, going 2-for-4 against the Greeneville Astros.
