Biographical Information[edit]
Minoru Morita pitched three games with a 6.43 ERA and no decisions for the 1939 Nagoya Golden Dolphins and was an outfielder (.111/.135/.111 in 27 games) as well. He batted .220/.325/.263 as a regular outfielder for them in '40, then was let go. Signing with Taiyo, he had a .228/.314/.262 batting line in 1941, giving him a career average of .218/.312/.255 in 217 games. He then joined the military and died in combat in World War II.
