Biographical Information[edit]

Min-Yen Chang played in the CPBL for 11 years.

Chang represented Taiwan in the 1995 World Youth Championship. The La New Bears drafted him in the second round of the 2004 CPBL Draft, and he hit .225/.259/.255 in his rookie year. Chang improved to .251/.294/.316 in 2005, but he lost his outfield spot in 2006 when Chun-Hsiung Lu shined. He only got 117 at-bats combined in the next four seasons. Chang hit .210/.268/.225 in 2010, and the Bears released him.

The Brother Elephants picked him up, and turned him into a first baseman. Chang then recorded a .274/.326/.363 batting line in 2011, and he hit .287/.324/.416 with a career-high 17 doubles in 2012. He tied Wu-Hsiung Pan for 5th in triples with 5. However, he slumped to .241/.321/.372 in 2013, and he only played 21 games in 2014. The Brothers released him after the 2014 season, and his professional career ended.

Overall, Chang had hit .255/.308/.344 with 336 hits and 10 homers in 11 seasons in the CPBL.
