Biographical Information[edit]
Infielder Mike Turgeon was drafted in the 6th round of the 1977 amateur draft by the Chicago Cubs. He led the 1978 New York-Penn League with 98 hits, 156 TB, and a .344 BA. He led Texas League third basemen with 37 double plays in 1979.
Turgeon reached AAA in 1980, but like his brothers, Dave Turgeon and Steve Turgeon, he didn't reach the majors. He played three years in AAA, hitting 13 homers and driving in 75 one year and batting .269 with 10 HR and 66 RBI another.
