Mike Reeves peaked at AA and has been on Team Canada.
He was the 42nd-round pick of the Toronto Blue Jays in the 2009 amateur draft. He hit .301/.405/.419 as a college freshman [1], .314/.406/.423 as a sophomore, .250/.370/.267 as a junior and .327/.415/.386 with 47 runs in 57 games as a senior. The Jays took him in the 21st round of the 2013 amateur draft.
He made his pro debut with the Vancouver Canadians that summer, batting .275/.374/.321. He split 2014 between the Dunedin Blue Jays (.196/.262/.232 in 17 G), Lansing Lugnuts (.223/.318/.255 in 29 G) and Vancouver (.212/.349/.289 in 17 G). He played in 2015 for Dunedin (.219/.289/.291 in 48 G) and Lansing (.184/.321/.184 in 27 G). He batted .244/.366/.348 for the 2016 Dunedin club, backing up Danny Jansen behind the dish. That winter, he hit .248/.317/.450 with 5 homers and 20 RBI in 30 games for the Canberra Cavalry in the 2016-2017 Australian Baseball League. He missed the top-ten in home runs by one. He was a late addition to Canada's team for the 2017 World Baseball Classic, replacing the injured Kellin Deglan. [2] He did not get into a game as George Kottaras got all the work at backstop. [3] He appeared in 2017 for Dunedin (.169/.300/.265 in 27 G) and the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (.286/.375/.381 in 7 G) to end his career. He had hit .228/.333/.290 in 280 games in the minors and threw out 27% of those who tried to steal.
